"Good afternoon and welcome aboard the

Southern Star Dolphin Cruise

We shall be letting go lines and getting underway in just a moment
but before we do, there are a few announcements I would like to make."

This begins the introduction as Capt. Steve invites all guests to make themselves comfortable and at home.

"My name is Capt. Steve and my wife, Wendy, is first mate. If there is anything we can do for you during the course of the cruise or if you have any questions about the Destin area, please feel free to ask."

Southern Star Dolphin cruise is locally owned and operated offering a personal touch found only in a family owned business.

Of all the dolphin cruises in the United States, the
Southern Star Dolphin Cruise

was selected by CNN
to be featured on its program "Earth Matters."

"We shall begin our cruise today with a narrated tour of Destin Harbor.  We then shall exit the harbor and proceed down to the pass and the Gulf of Mexico.  If weather conditions are favorable offshore, we will cruise down the beach just off Holiday Isle.  If the sea-state is rough or uncomfortable, I'll swing the boat around proceeding under the Destin bridge for Choctawhatchee Bay."

Safety and passenger comfort are great concerns and you are in pretty good hands with your captain and crew.  Capt. Steve is a veteran master mariner. He sailed around 300,000 sea miles throughout twenty years of sea service before creating Destin's original dolphin cruise.  Capt. Steve says now he's a fair weather sailor.  "I've spent a career sailing coastwise and deepsea in all weather conditions from ice in extreme latitudes to hurricanes in the Gulf and Caribbean.   If there is over a 3 to 4 foot sea offshore where my guest may feel uncomfortable, we stay inside in protected waters.   It's difficult to enjoy a relaxing cruise if you are seasick."

M/V "Southern Star" is a 80' Glass Bottom Boat, built in 2001, with 2 restrooms and plenty of room to walk about with an upper deck, climate controlled main cabin, a galley offering soft drinks, hot dogs, popcorn and other various snacks. Gifts are also available for purchase onboard.

"Southern Star" embarks on a fun-filled two hour cruise in search of the coastal bottlenose dolphin.   You will experience the beauty and grace of these incredible marine mammals up close and personal.

"Dolphins sighted to port," announces the captain."  If there's anyone aboard today who have never seen dolphins in the wild, all that will change today.  Ready your cameras!" Capt. Steve will enlighten your imagination with an education and knowledge of the dolphins.
